Thanks Leythos for straight opinions!

You moved away from Exchange scanners. That means the Exchange server
package that they sell, right ?

I don't buy the "Exchange" scanners from MS, Symantec, Trend, etc... I
use to buy them and even GFI Mail Essentials and Mail Security.

But you still use the antivirus etc for Win server, and still have to make a
bunch of exclusions to avoid problems with the Exchange server ?

If you install AV on an Exchange server, even if it's "Aware", you still
need to ensure that certain files/folders are excluded.

Mail filtering in the firewall sounds like headache to poor, old, half
trained me ... or ?

Mail filtering in the firewall has been a blessing - so very simple,
almost no issues for customers, certainly more simple and more accurate
than any other solution I've EVER used.

Not only do we block spam, seeing only 1 or 2 a month, but we also
remove content from emails that violate our security policy, and we also
inspect headers and such with the firewall - makes a great solution.

Before going the FW route, we spent a few hours a month dealing with new
spam issues, updating exceptions, etc.... Now we spend a few hours on
initial install and then almost no billable time from that point forward
(related to spam issues). We still inspect the logs for intrusions or
outbound problems as well as all the other issues, but it's been a set
and forget type of thing.

I would say that this works even better than the Barracuda Spam filter.
