Hi Cliff,
I tried inputting the Smart Host (smtp-server.cfl.rr.com) along with the
master Username and Password that was setup with the ISP (Road Runner) last
week but still could not receive the forms.
I just took over this network from another company. Although Road Runner
does not block port 25 and they have a static IP when I asked about the
smart host they stated that because Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail emails were being
bounced back when sent and not received they went and configured the Smart
Host to correct the problem.

Since you are using a smarthost for exchange, it would make sense to use
the smarthost for the website code as well. I would not recommend using
exchange as your SMTP server for the forms in this scenario because I must
assume there is a reason you chose to use a smarthost for exchange
itself...such as ISP port blocking or a dynamic IP. So, with that in
mind, and without further knowledge of your setup, I'd recommend that you
configure the web form to use the smarthost service that exchange is
already using. You should be able to refer to your smarthost
documentation and set it up using same credentials and server names as you
did exchange.

Hi All,
SBS 2003 R2 / Using SMTP& Smart Host (smtp-server.cfl.rr.com) for mail /
stetsonbaptistchurch.org website hosted by faithconnector.com
The client has course request forms and email forms that can filled out
on the website and are to be sent to the Course manager at
Stetsonbaptist.org. The problem is the email from the website are
received but not the course
request forms.
In the site manager of the website there is a section for email settings.
It requires the (SMTP)outgoing mail server name / Authenticated username
and password be inputed. I used mail.stetsonbaptistchurch.org (Outgoing
Mailserver) and the Course Manager email and password. We are having no
other prblems receiving emal from other domains.
We still do not receive any of the course request forms. I have verified
the info. We are also using IMF but the forms do not show up in the
archives folder but other spam mail does. No errors appear when sending
the course request forms from the website.
I have a response below from their tech support:
In regards to some email issues you are having with your custom forms. I
have been testing the form and it looks like there is still something not
right with the SMTP settings in the site settings area of the site
manager. I replaced my email address in the custom form I was testing and
I never received an email when I filled out the form. The form is built
correctly, because it is going to the custom form submission area in the
site manager. When I use the send email to members function in the site
manager and send myself and email I never receive it. This is a sign
that the smtp information is not correct or it could be due to something
with the exchange server you use. Whenever I enter smtp information that
I know will work in the smtp settings area the email from the site
functions properly. You may want to google "send mail through exchange"
or "setup exchange smtp server" so that you can complete the smtp
settings area of the site manager.

Not sure which (SMTP) outgoing mail server to type in.
