As mentioned in my prior post, I am just completing the migration from
SBS 2003 to SBS 2008. One of the issues I am having is that I am
unable to join an Intel SS4000e NAS server to the domain. I am trying
to set it up so that it uses active directory to determine the user
list and login information (which is how it was configured on SBS
2003).
When I go through the steps, it sees the SBS 2008 server and brings up
the different active directory groups using the username and password
I have provided. When I try to complete the process it tells me that
the username provided does not have the authority to add the computer
to the domain.
How can I add the NAS server to the domain so that it can access the
active directory groups? The username I used has full administrative
rights. Because it is not a computer, I can't join the domain using a
browser.
Is it possible to manually ad the computer to the domain? Or, is it
possible to raise the authority level on one of the admin accounts so
that it can be added to the domain?
Thanks,
Nick
