Hello,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that:

You receive the error 800 when attempting to connect to SBS server(PPTP).

If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Suggestions:
================
Typically, the error 800 indicates that the VPN server is unreachable and
PPTP packets from the VPN client cannot reach the VPN server. In this
issue, you cannot telnet to the SBS sever on port 1723. I think that the
VPN server is not reachable from the client on port 1723. Please check the
following aspects to find out the reason why port 1723 is not reachable:

1. Can you PING the VPN server from the client? If you connect the VPN from
external, have you properly publish the port 1723 on the router? How it
works if you connect the VPN from SBS internal clients?

1. In the scenarios that you connect the VPN server from external, please
give more detailed information about the network. Does the SBS server have
the ISA server installed? Is there any filter on the hardware router that
may block the PPTP traffic?

VPN server is unreachable

Hope it helps. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not
hesitate to let me know.
