Re: Extending C: partition

I do have a 12GB partition. I'm looking VERY carefully. Looking within
Program Files, I see items such as Outlook Express, NetMeeting, Windows Media
Player. I do not see them in the Add/Remove Windows Components dialog box
though....how can I remove these? Is it safe to remove these?

Can I look at anything else in the WINDOWS folder? I use utilities such as
CCleaner on clients to delete bloat, but would be afraid of using something
like this on the SBS server. Is there a similar utility supported or from
Microsoft?

Just be aware that extending the system partition with a partitioning
utility is not supported by MS. If you ever need to call CSS they might not
be able to help you.

I agree with Lanwench that you first need to look more closely at what is on
the system drive that could be deleted or moved to another partition/drive.
It is possible to live with about a 12 GB partition by being careful.

I have a little over 700MB free space left on my system drive. I have
MOVED all HOTFIX UNINSTALLERS, deleted TEMPs, etc....I am now looking
at extending the partition using Acronis Disk Director application.
Does anyone know if the Disk Director Suite 10 works on SBS? Is there
anything else I can look at to create more space? Thanks.

DiskDirector will indeed work. But how big is your system partition?
What's installed on it? You might be able to uninstall / reinstall apps on
another partition. TrendMicro stuff has gotten humungous of late, so I've
been able to save a lot of C drive space on my older servers by moving it
to another volume.
