RE: How to setup SBS Network Interface for VPN connection to remot

Thank you Miles

I agree with Russ also, but in this particular instance I cannot change the
configuration at this company to allow the Router to Router method. The SBS
Server is connected directly to the internet and I need to use this as an end
point to the VPN. ISA is not being used.

I shall check out the Manage Routing Interfaces link that you have provided
and let you know how I get on.

Thanks for the link.

Hello,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that:

You want to know how to create a site-to-site VPN connection from the SBS
server to the Draytek 2820 router.

If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Agree with Russ that deploying 2 Firewalls VPN router and creating a
site-to-site VPN connection between them is the most reliable method.
However, if you need to establish a site-to-site VPN from the SBS 2003
server you have to configure the VPN in the RRAS MMC or ISA server MMC (If
ISA server available).

If you are using RRAS, you need to create a demand-dial interface using the
credential VPN to the Draytek 2820 router. Then add corresponding entry to
the routing table to remote network on the interface. For more related
information, you may refer to:

If you are using ISA server, you can follow the Add remote network wizard
to finish the configuration.
