Hi Merv,
I get a dialog that says
Windows cannot complete the password change for "username" because:
The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the
minimum password length, password complexity and password history
requirements.
I have checked all these and they are not set.
In Default Domain Security Settings MMC snapin
Account Policies->Password policy
Enforce password history -> Not Defined
Maximum Password age -> 0
Minimum password age -> 0 days
Minimum password length -> 0
Password must meet complexity..... -> Disabled
Store Passwords using...... -> Disabled
It may be that I have missed somethign obvious?
Thanks for your help

Do you get an error in Server Management when you try to change his
password? If so, what is the exact text of the error message?

Hi All,
I have a user whos forgotton his password (never usually turns his PC
off) and I cannot change/reset his (or any) password in the SBS2003 (R2)
Server Managment, Users console even when logged in locally as
Administrator.
I have explicitly relaxed all password policies for the domain,
effectively there are no policies in place now.
Any help at all will be appreciated
TIA
Paul
