RE: OWA not working in SBS 2008

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

The current update was the SP1 rollup 4. Tried to uninstall it and reinstall
it. Upon uninstalling the update, It asked me for a EXCHANGESERVER.msi which
I could only find on the SBS 2008 Server Repair disk that turns to be an
incorrect installer. So it errors out and then backs out of the uninstall.

After that attempt numerous errors showed up on the SBS Console. Including
the following:
- Security Alert: Forefront For Exchange Server no longer working
- All Update Status are no longer functioning.

Very frustrated after hours of trying to get this to work.

Hello Scott,

Thanks for your post and thanks for Susan's input.

Based on my experience, this issue may occur if the new Exchange updagte is
corrupted. The latest Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 update is
release update Rollup 4. Please check on the Exchange server to see if it
is applied, if not, please install it. If you have installed, please
uninstall it and then reinstall it again.

Install the latest release update Rollup 4 for Exchange Server 2007 Service
Pack 1

Update Rollup 4(Version: 8.1.311.3) for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1
(KB952580)

Note: Make sure to install on the CAS servers first if upgrading release
update versions. Otherwise it will cause the "red X" issue on OWA webpage.

Hope this helps.
