You can set this in a group policy. In the same place you're currently configuring the WSUS policies, open the policy "Specify intranet Microsoft update service location" and go to the Explain tab to see how.
Aside from having to download each update once for each workstation rather than just once in total, there's also the fact that if you stop using WSUS, you're left with no easy way to know which workstations are up to date and which are not. If a patch fails to install, you'll have no good way of knowing that, and if it's a security patch, you'll be vulnerable.

Turn off WSUS on your server and turn on Automatic Updates from Control Panel on the workstations. Not sure if you can setup a GPO for this.

1. Moved Exchange Databases.
2. Moved ISA Logs.
3. Moved the C:\Inetpub directory
4. Deleted all my MS Updates and KB.log files from the Windows directory.
All my work stations are configured to download automatically from MS
Updates. Were a small company so we're only talking 12 to 15 machines.
Download "Treesize" it's freeware. This will give you the break down and
size on all folders and subfolders.

How do I tell the workstations to download updates directly from
Microsoft and will that save space on the server??
