In article <OkfaEGnSJHA.4148@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, gordonian@xxxxxxxxx
says...
I have a client using SBS 2003 and also a Blackberry Server.
Everything works fine, but I have had a weird request from a Director that I
am unsure if it IS POSSIBLE to do!
He has his username and password for the SBS server etc, and his email and
contacts sync up to his blackberry device, all works fine, no problems!!!
But now he comes to me and says.... he has a second blackberry unit, and he
wants to use this at the same time as the other one so that when he is on a
call he can be typing in new contact details into the second unit, and have
that information updated on exchange in his account.
NOW!
Blackberry tells me that you cannot have two devices using the same account,
so we have had to create another user account for that device... but..... I
cannot work out how to sync the contacts on the second unit into the first
unit.
SO we have FRED1 account and FRED2 account. We want the contacts of FRED1 to
be available to FRED2 so basically the two accounts have one contacts list
that no matter what blackberry device is used, the exchange side will sync
up the contacts list so that both accounts are actually using the same one!
Does that make sense to anyone?
Is there any way to have two exchange accounts use the same contacts list so
the blackberry devices can update them?
HELP would be very much appreciated!!!!
Why not configure both phones to directly access the Exchange server
using the same account on the exchange server?
You can't use Two BB Phones with 1 BB Account, but you can sync hundreds
of BB Phones with the same email account on your Exchange Server, just
don't use the BB Online Sync Service.
