We're seeing this error a lot. In the last 24 hours it has happened 35Flip it to log to flat file. I'll bet it logging to SQL and the 1.5 gigs
times.
Source: Microsoft ISA Server Control
Event ID: 14079
Description: Due to an unexpected error, the service fwsrv stopped
responding to all requests. Stop the service or the corresponding process
if it does not respond, and then start it again. Check the Windows event
viewer for related error messages.
Eventually, every two or three days, sometimes more frequently, the
firewall service seems to hang so that none of the clients can connect to
the server. I've tried stopping the service but it gets to a stop pending
state and just stays there. The only thing that clears it up is to reboot
the server.
We're running Windows 2003 SBS R1 and ISA Server 2004 on a seven year old
Dell PowerEdge 600SC server that has only 1.5 GB RAM. I'll be upgrading
the RAM to 3 GB later this week. I'm trying to get a new server but don't
yet have the money.
I've searched the newsgroups and have never found a cause or solution for
this problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for the response. Change which log to flat file? And how? I'm a
volunteer administrator that doesn't really know what I'm doing.
