Well, I certainly appreciate the solicitation. I am _almost_ prepared to
let you try except for the following:

- You did not suggest you would charge me only if you were successful (and
cap the number of hours it would take you).

Correct, I never do 'no fix, no fee'. I would 'cap', if I could guarantee
the fix but there are very few guarantees in life, other than death and
taxes.

- You already told me what your answer would be if it was a server
problem.
Something close to "Format C:" I think.

Please reread my reply. The 'format' option was only suggested in the case
where certain fundamentally incorrect choices had been made during
implementation. Also, I would offer this as a choice, ie. you can continue
as is and likely hit another wierd problem at some later time or we can fix
the problem once and for all by not implementing a fundamentally flawed
system. Don't however focus too much on this, I only mentioned it 'in
passing', I have not inspected your system (and it seems unlikely you would
wish me to) and do not know if this is the basic cause.

- You don't believe me that I can read, and did not notice that I said
that
all this had been working fine up until a *server* change.
<and snipped>

I hear your frustration and apologise if I have made it worse.

It is, in fact, my read of your complete story (as expressed so far),
including 'it worked but now doesn't' and the process that appears to have
led to this condition, that makes me believe the system can be fixed
quickly. Maybe Susan's original suggestion to contact PSS is the best course
at this time, MS do offer 'incident' rather than 'time' based support.

There is a possibility that the problem exists due to DNS, what is the AD
DNS name please? (munge it if you like but please keep it 'substantially
correct').
