Re: Preferred antivirus for SBS 2003?

Yes, VLAN

That's virtual LAN, which means you still have to have something connecting
you to a remote network - which is why I guessed VPN.

so I have access to all three locations to push it out. Symantec Corporate
10.1 was installed with the option not to let the
user uninstall the application. I can change that in the Symantec
console but it will not do much good if they have not connected to
the the network first. I am trying to recall if the user can
uninstall in 10.1 if they have the Symantec credentials.

Thanks for all the advise.

It's possible that Trend's setup can detect & uninstall Symantec. Sometimes
that works.

Yes, we use Exchange.

If I purchased Worry-FreeT Business Security Advanced, how easy
would it be to roll it out?

It's quite easy.

I have 50 users in three locations, all
about one hour apart. Half the clients are on Symantec Corporate
10.1 and the other half with Vista computers are on Eset NOD 32.

If would be easy to have the users remove the Symantec client or
NOD32 stand-alone. Can I roll trend out from a central location? The
three locations are on a VLAN.

VPN? If you can manage the computers remotely, you can push out an
install from the console. If you can't, you can package up an
installation & send it to them on a CD - but you won't be able to
centrally manage those clients.

Do you use Exchange for your email? If the answer is yes then you
should either get an additional program do deal with Exchange or
get the Trend product for SBS that includes an Exchange module.
This might be what you want.
