I work for a computer support company, and we monitor 15 SBS2003 servers.
Recently i have set up Performance reports and Usage reports in the
monitoring and reports section of server management.
Unfortunately, 4 of these servers are not generating reports properly. in
the event logs they are generating the following log:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: SmallBusinessServer
Event Category: SBS Monitoring
Event ID: 4353
Date: 31/10/2008
Time: 06:04:00
User: N/A
Computer: SERVER
Description:
An error occurred in attempting to send a Server Status Report in e-mail.
The e-mail message was not sent. There may be a problem with connectivity or
system configuration. Ensure that the ASP.NET State Service and IIS Admin
service are running. You can also try resetting your monitoring and reporting
preferences. To do this, open the Monitoring and Reporting taskpad in Server
Management, and then click Set Up Monitoring Reports and Alerts.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Data:
0000: 8f 2f 07 80 /.
I have made sure that the two services mentioned are running, but this has
not solved the problem. The same error is being reported on all four servers.
I set up these 4 reports in exactly the same way as all of the other servers
that are currently working.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Bryan
