New SBS Takes an age to start

Recently installed SBS 2003 R2 on a new Dell PE 840.
4Gb RAM / 2.4Ghz Processor
2 NIC SBS Configuration. NIC 1 connects to ISP DSL Modem NIC 2 to Internal
Gigabit Network.

It takes an age to start up during the windows 2003 startup phase. After the
"preparing network connections.." phase it takes 10-15 mins to get past the
Applying Computer Settings...." phase.

Anyone know what exactly is going on during this phase so i can troubleshoot
further?
