vpn authentication issue

I have a small network that has remote users and office users. They use
autocad and quickbooks. I installed vpn and it went through just fine. The
remote users were able to login and get their exchange email and browse their
mapped drives. Then I start hearing about users not being able to
authenticate their autocad license as the program can no longer detect the
server. The server no longer shows up under the "My Networks" list but can be
accessed via explorer and pinged. Quickbooks is also having the same issue. I
dont know what I'm missing but any help would be great. Please forgive the
typo's. I entered this with my iPhone.
