Re: sbs 2003 SP2

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

You don't have to install SP1 first - it doesn't actually say that in the release notes, does it?

I recommend doing an online backup before and after installing the SP. After you've installed the SP, you can just use MU to check for further updates, or wait for WSUS if you use that.

Hi all,

I just discovered a clients SBS 2003 SP2 Exchange is at
Version 6.5 (Build 6944.4) which indicates to me that neither SP1 or SP2 for Exchange is installed.

From the release notes I take it I have to install SP1 for Exchange 1st then apply SP2 is this correct? I did notice some post SP1 hotfixes so If I go the SP1 -SP2 route is it advisable to install those as well prior to SP2?

Frank
