Re: Folder password

Just a thought. If I had to exclude all users or groups from the
permissions list except the two users with full access (excluding the
domain administrator as well), would this be a wise thing to do?

I can't answer that; perhaps it would be in your environment. I don't know
how your folder structure is set up.

If
not what would be the minimun requirement for a secure folder ?

I'm not sure what you mean by secure. Anything you do, an admin can undo.

Is it possible to use a password to limit a folder's access by
domain users in SBS2003?

No...

if not are there third party software that can ?

Maybe, but I don't have any names / info on that.

This is the secnario. I have two domain users, one belonging to the
power group and the other to the remote group. Only these two users
need full access to this folder. The problem is that the
administrator password is known by other power users

Why?:

who can then
access the folder. The other power users sometimes need access as
the administrator to work on the server.

No, they don't. Change your domain admin password.

Apart from changing passwords is
there another way forward?

Not really, no. What do these power users need admin access for?
What do they need *power user* access for?
