I run the Backup wizard in SBS and never touch the script file. Are we
talking about SBS here? Ok, once I edited the backup script as I had a
folder I needed to exclude than I could not exclude my normal ways. In
the SBS backup there is a section that lets you exclude non-crucial
folders. I have never had that not stick in my limited experience with
20+ SBS servers.
Before I had the SBS backup wizard I never had any backup script
change on its own.

Hi MattSee what SBS support is working on
Thanks for your comments.
Yes I know the work arounds but sadly it does not stay permanantly fixed, I
have several sites where it breaks again and again. I know you can run
NTBACKUP, load the bks file save it etc. etc. but the issue is that at
sometime the file gets re-written and the Exclude line gets removed.
This may be becuase someone forgets to re-save the script with NTBACKUP
after a change, I don't know, what I do know is that it's a pain.
What I am looking for is either a fix to resolve the bks rewrite problem or
to nudge Microsoft into acknowledging the problem and providing a long
overdue patch.

Hi,
I run the wizard, Then manually change the BKS file with NT Backup. So long
as you dont run the wizard again, it will use your settings.
