I doubt the other Frank's answer is your problem since you are talking VPN
and he is answering RWW. Error 721 is always GRE 47 error

Yep, I agree, seen it time and time again.

Just had a tech that supports a medical system try and get access after
installing SP3 on his system last month (this was his first attempt
since SP3) and he could not get into the firewal - a PPTP Appliance.

All other users on that network without SP3 can get into the firewall.

Most times this was caused by cheap/bad router firmware on what people
mistakenly call a Firewall, which is really a NAT Router.

You can go through all of the VPN PAIN if you choose to do so... We
are an Microsoft Licensed Service Provider and host SBS 2003. So
every thing we do is via VPN. I would suggest using Hamachai a
www.logmein.com product. Super secure and does not have issues with
all the types of inexpensive routers out there. Before Hamachai I
upgraded firmware, enabled protocols, purchased new routers, and still
the built in windows VPN was flakey with dissconnections and both PC
and router restarts. Installing the 3rd adapter on the SBS does
present a challenge when running the CIECW... just disable the
Hamachai adapter and all will work as expected.
