Mission acomplished.
the only changes is that instead of using rww.whatever.com.mx, I had to
switch to mail.whatever.com.mx for rww as that they both resolve to the same
ip. also I had to double check with tzo to get the last details running as
we are using tzo smart hosting and there were some gltiches with my new
dynamic ip service.
Regards
Miguel

Hi:
Following is my current set up:
Domain : whatever.com.mx
Web page: hosted in another server (www.whatever.com.mx)
SBS server runs our mail server (mail.whatever.com.mx) and our rww
(sbs.whatever.com.mx)
ADSL line with static IP (cost USD100.00/month no wonder why Carlos Slim
is the richest man on earth)
DNS services: easydns
Smart host services: provided by TZO
Linksys router WRT54G TZO capable:
Objective: Cut the cost for the static IP by using a dynamic IP using TZO
I have purchased premier DDNS and a subdomain service to TZO.
I would like to beam both sub domains (rww.whatever.com.mx and
mail.whatever.com.mx) and register both of them at TZO
also I want to wildcard whatever.com.mx to www.whatever.com.mx.
Questions:
a) Can I do this using just the router firmware?
b) What settings do I have to stablish in TZO to make it work?
c) Should I buy another subdomain service for rww.whatever.com.mx?
I have tried to contact TZO, but my english is not as I would like to be.
Any pointers are more than welcome.
TIA
Miguel
