SBS 2003 R2 backup: skipped (in use) files

Hi,
I'm unsure about this issue, so I'm asking for (much appreciated)
advice.

We're backing up every night our SBS R2 Premium server with Backup
Exec 12.
The backup software skips some files from the C: drive , probably
because they are in use (see list below)

Backup Exec comes with an option called "Advanced Open File Option":
should I use that option to back up those open files or may I safely
remove them from the backup selection?
