Hi,
I am replacing my file server with a new box. I bought the Prem SBS
2003 R2 Upgrade from Prem SBS 2003.
I have 20 cals from the 2003 are they transferable to the new migrated
server? If so how do I transfer or install them? Do licenses expire
over time?
Will they come across if I use the ADMT v3.0?
If you mean transfering of Windows CALs as SBS CALs, then NO. They are
different and do not transfer one to the other. (SBS CALs cover Windows
Server access, but Windows Server CALs do not cover connections to Exchange,
SQL, parts of SBS.
Apples and Oranges so to speak.
