RE: Issue with user profile folders and outlook

Hello,

Yes. Event 1085 is a summary that indicates the Folder Redirection
processing failed. This exactly result from the error 107.

So you once created Default User profile in NETLOGON share as the
customized profile for all domain users. I'd like to know whether you used
to enable the Folder Redirection on the dummy account (user.test). If yes,
there will be a problem when you select the option "Move the contents of My
Documents to the new location" (selected by default). With System will
attempt to the move the data in the original profile folder
(\\myserver\users\user.test\my documents) to new redirection folder
(\\myserver\users\michael\my documents).

You have a try to deselect the option "Move the contents of My Documents to
the new location" in the My Document Properties--->settings tab. Then run
"gpupdate /force" on the client to refresh the group policy. Then logon
onto the client to check how everything work.

In the issue persists, please answer the question as I mentioned in my last
post. This will help to narrow down the issue and indicate whether this is
a AD issue, profile (default user profile) issue or a specific client
computer issue.

1. Can you PING the domain controller such as server.sbs.local successfully?
2. Does this issue happen on this particular machine? If yes, how
everything works if you clean boot the client or disjoin or rejoin the
client to SBS?
3. Please help to collect the MPS report on the SBS server and send it to
me at Miles Li <mailto:v-mileli@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>.
