Users getting booted from network when another logs on?

Hi all,

I've had a cryptic message through from a client I support, and while I am
waiting for a bit of a clarification on their actual problem I wondered if
anyone might be able to suggest an interpretation as to what is happening.

The server is SBS 2003, currently supporting 3 users in a small business
situation. 1 server, 1 workstation, 2 laptops - the WS/Laptops are XP Pro.
From what I understand, they aren't able to log in "at the same time" as one
or the other gets booted off....this apparently started happening on Sunday.
Am checking to see if this coincides with any windows updates.

Is there any reason for this type of behaviour to occur? They've tried
using a wire to rule out the wireless, and it's still happening.

I know it's a bit hazy but if anyone could suggest somewhere to start, I've
checked the logs and there are some DNS errors from Sunday:

Event ID 4015
The DNS server has encountered a critical error from the Active Directory.
Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly. The extended error
debug information (which may be empty) is "". The event data contains the
error

and then this one:

Event ID 3000
The DNS server has encountered numerous run-time events. To determine the
initial cause of these run-time events, examine the DNS server event log
entries that precede this event. To prevent the DNS server from filling the
event log too quickly, subsequent events with Event IDs higher than 3000
will be suppressed until events are no longer being generated at a high
rate.

Is this something that a reboot is likely to resolve, as I've not seen it
before! Have done some googling but not sure whether this would cause the
problem they're getting with logons?

Ruth
