it is not 'best' to log onto the domain, 'local' users should not exist and
all login should happen to the domain, always.
The OP is confusing two aspects:
Logon to the local PC vs the domain. and
That of 'roaming' vs 'local' profiles.
I suggest that Jay forget RWW for the moment and 1st get all the 'local PC
user' profiles moved to 'domain login' for all users, then destroy the local
machine user accounts. My workstations have two 'local users', the default
Administrator account and a user called 'setup' created at initial login
(ie. before joining to the SBS network). It pains me that I feel the need to
point out the 'setup' user is only used at initial setup, or should it be
necessary to perform work on the 'local machine' distinct from the domain
(which is almost never).
There is then the 2nd part of the question (which I think is actually
irrelevent in Jay's scenario), being the option of using or not using
roaming profiles in the domain. Jay is not currently using roaming profiles
because his users are not logging onto domain accounts, also the setup of
roaming profiles for domain accounts is not an SBS default, it requires
additional work should you wish it to be so.
His users will then be able to use RWW without clicking the options button.
NOTE about something irrelevent:
The other one that gets me is the number of times I hit laptop users who
sign onto the domain when physically in the office but have been advised to
logon to the 'local machine' when away from the office, it's not only
unnecessary and undesirable but SILLY.

When you say local profiles do you mean you are logging on to the client
locally or logging onto the domain?
You can still use a local profile if you log onto the domain, but in a
domain environment iti s best to log onto the domain rather that the
client directly

We use local profiles alsmost exclusively on our Client workstations.
RWW
seems to default to the Domain roaming profile every time, leaving our
users
having to click the Options button on the login screen and select the
local
profile. Is there anyway that I can control the default profile when RWW
is
initiated? Also, I'd like to customize the RWW login screen. Is that
possible?
Please advise,
Jay
