RE: Email service is down need urgent help

Please allow me to confirm that my understandings are correct. As I
understand it, the issue is:

You have encountered an issue when trying to send out email to one of your
clients and NDR(non-deliver report) is received. You have tried the
CEICW(Configure Email and Internet Connection Wizard) and check MX and A
records for your email domain.

If I have misunderstood your concerns please feel free to let me know.

Before we go further, I would like to ask:

1. Did the SBS server worked to send emails to that particular domain? Does
this issue occur occasionally?

2. Can this recipient receive mail from other companies besides yours?


If the issue only occurs occasionally and nothing has been changed on your
SBS server, then it may occur by the temporary traffic connection jam and
DNS resolution timeout on the Internet or the destination recipient email
server has denied/blocked emails from your company. Then you need to
contact the recipient side for more information.

First, as for checking the A and MX records and other DNS records of your
public email domain, please check it from the following webstie:

By the way, I recommend you run the Exchange Best Practices Analyzer v2.8
to detect and analyze you Exchange organization. Access the functionality
for Exchange Performance Troubleshooting, Database Recovery Management, and
Mail Flow Troubleshooter through single tools.

If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the above steps, please
help me collect some information for further investigation:

Information Need

1. Check event viewer on the SBS server for related information, save it
to *.evt and send to me at v-robmen@xxxxxxxxxxxxx .
2. If possible, please capture some screenshot of the exact error message
when NDR letter generates and send them to me at: v-robmen@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
