Re: Programs don't open

Thanks for the reply.
On the Vista client pc if you goto start ->Control Panel -> User Accounts
(classic view) -> Turn User Account Control on or off -> uncheck the box.

The user was created as a mobile user and is a Member Of
Domain Users
Mobile Users
Domain - distribution groups
RWW Users - Security groups
I hope this is what you are looking for.

When you say "UAC" is deselected, what does that mean?

When you look at the membership of this user on the server, what
memberships does this person have?

That gives you the instructions to get in there and edit that script.
Try rem-ing it out.

The UAC is usually deselected. I cannot open the script to edit it and rem
out its contents.
I suspect that this may be a local user or group policy issue. Something
might have changed which I am not aware off.
This user is configured as a remote user on the server. How would the
policies interact on the client or the server with
remote user on the server and
local administrator on the local client pc ?
By this I mean that as an administratot of a local pc the administrator is
given 100% control of the pc but this is not true as a remote user on the
same pc. How are the policies managed on the local pc?
