R2 is about more than Wsus,

Install R2, THen follow the technet guide about installing Wsus 3 on SBS

This should work out perfectly!

Just setting up this server and want to have WSUS 3.0 on it. Do I just forget about installing the R2 Technologies altogether? Seems OK to me.
