Hi all,
I have my SBS2003 Premium Server using it's default IP address (192.168.16.2) The default gateway is 192.168.16.1 which is my Router. I set the Primary DNS Server to be itself at 192.168.16.2 and a alternate to be the Router (192.168.16.1)
My client computers are setup using a static IP address's from .3 - .5 inclusive. On the clients, I set the default gateway to be the Router, and the Primary DNS Server to be the SBS Server and an alternate to be the Router.
I noticed that every now and then I get DNS errors in the Event Viewer - DNS section that appear to be error relating to updating certain software say that the DNS Server cannot be itself (not sure if that is the exact message but something similar)
Am I missing something here?
Randy
