computer, unless it came down when the tech who built the box did it.
I found that the Vista OS was up to date when I went to do the uploads.
But I was able to see into the file system to the public and shared
directories from the other client computers on the network.
I found the Office 2007 .iso file, and wanted to install the ISO
recorder so I could write it to a file. However, the latest version of
ISO Recorder would not run, so I double clicked the .iso file and the
Nero Essentials app came up and burned it to disk. From there I
installed it. Then, after I installed Office 2007, I got a bunch of
Office 2007 updates.
So, things seem to be all there. I will give it to the spouse and see
what things she finds are broken, aside from the Office 2007 user
interface.
Thanks for your help, Russ. I will return if strange things start
happening.
But I do have one question. I had them install a 750 gig disk to give
her extra space. To what size should I set the file increment, so as
not to waste a lot of disk space with the default setting for that
large as disk?
