The certificate is now installed on the iphone and I still get "Exchange
account verification failed"

Cris,.
Thanks. I will look into it.

You might want to check with GoDaddy support regarding getting the cert on
the phone.
But yes...if https:// is required for OWA, then its going to be required for
DirectPush.

Users must type in https://workplace.xyz.com/exchange then enter username
and
password.
I have a GoDaddy certificate installed for workplace.xyz.com

Lets approach this differently
When users access OWA do they have to type https:// OR http://?
Do I understand that you have a Go Daddy certificate installed on the SBS
server?

Cris,
The documentation for iphone states it will try an SSL connection first
and
if that fails it will try non-SSL. Are you saying I need to install my
certificate on the iphone to get it to work?

Don't know about the IPhone...but I've had one WM5 and two WM6 devices
and
used the SBS self signed cert each time...it has to be installed
properly
on
the mobile device, or it will not work
As a test..try unchecking the box for SSL and see what happens
As far as the URL
Whatever you set up in public DNS for accessing OWA and RWW that's
what
you
use on the phone

Originally it was and I remember when setting up the first one I did
get
the
certificate prompt and selected OK. A few articles I read suggested
purchasing one which I have from GoDaddy.

Internal and external names being different don't matter

SBS 2003 with Exchange 2003 sp2
iphone 3G 8GB with 2.0 software
I am unable to get the mail working with exchange. Getting
"Exchange
account
verification failed".
My RWW/OWA is working fine.
Don't know if this matters but my "internal" domain is named
different
than
my "external" domain.
A lot of the articles and forum threads I found researching this
have
contradicting information on what should be entered for server
name
and
domain\username. I have tried many different combinations without
success.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Steve
