you may have issues with the Exchange Restore since you are changing some information
You would be better to export the mailboxes to .pst files and then bring them back in after the migration.

Would it work to setup a virtual server on this same machine, do a new
install to it, recreate all the user accounts, restore the sql and exchange
databases, create a backup, then do an administrative restore to this machine?
Thanks,
David

Yes, it only has 1 NIC, internal and external old doamin names were the same.
Is this fixable?

No, the old email addresses have been removed from both AD Users and
Computers user accounts and from the recipient policy.
The server still has the old domain as part of it's name. I don't want to
have to reinstall SBS to change the domain name.
Thanks,
David

Go into AD Users and Computers, find your account > Properties > Email
addresses. Are the old addresses there?
You might also check in the Exchange System Manager (ESM) under recipient
policies. Is there still an entry there for the old domain?

Hi,
I have a SBS 2003 R2 Premium server. I have used CEICW to change the email
domain. Problem is messages going out show a message id that ends with the
old domain name. Thus other mail servers are flagging out going email as
spam.
How do I change this to the new domain?
Thanks for any help.
David
