Thank you for your update.

It does not matter for the error when you register some dlls. Maybe the dll
is not suit for your current system service patch. We can ignore the error.

Terence, I have successfully registered the DLLs and it has solved my
issues
for accessing the users AD entries and also the Event Logs. I did get a
few
errors when running the regsvr32 command with a few of the DLLs, but it
doesn't seem to have mattered. The error was "ole2disp.dll is not an
executable file and no registration helper is registered for this file
type."

Based on my research, this issue mostly because some files not registered
properly on your system. I suggest we try the following steps to see if
we
can resolve this issue:

1. Please run the following steps to register the some dlls:

regsvr32 ole32.dll
regsvr32 oleacc.dll
regsvr32 oleaccrc.dll

Then, test this issue.

2. If the issue persists, I suggest you apply the Exchange 2003 sp2 again
on your SBS:

Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2

Then, test this issue.

If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the steps above, please
help me collect some information for further investigation:

1. Please capture screenshots of the error messages and send the pictures
to me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

2. Gather MPS network report on SBS:

a. Download MPSrepot_network from

http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9
15706/MPSRPT_NETWORK.EXE

b. Run MPSRPT_NETWORK.exe.

c. The tool will automatically collect the information. This procedure
will
take 10~15 minutes.

d. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder:
%SystemRoot%\MPSReports\Network\Reports\Cab\

e. Send the .cab file directly to me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I have a client running SBS 2003 Standard w/sp2. I have discovered an
issues that I cannot open or edit any of the AD properties for a user
account in the SBS Server Administrator. If I open an account, I get
"The
Active Directory object could not be displayed. Interface not
registered."
This occurs on the General tab and several of the other tabs for all
users.
I also cannot open the properties of any Event Log messages on the SBS
server. I have verified that all necessary services do start correctly
on
reboot. None of the users are actually experiencing any login issues,
but
it's obvious that something is terribly wrong with their AD and/or
SystemState. I can browse the contents of SysVol and it all appears to
be
okay.

This all does appear to have started following the last round of
Microsoft
Windows updates. The client does uses Symantec Backup Exec 12 and not
the
standard SBS backup. When trying to browse the contents of SystemState
or
Shadow Copy Components in Backp Exec, I get "An error was encountered
while
attempting to browse the contents of shadow copy conponents or Sytem
State..." And it also states "A failure occured while accessing the
Writer
metadata." I am using the default Administrator account with full
access.

I'm guessing that I'll need to restore the SystemState using a DS Restore
Mode, but I'd certainly like to avoid this if it's not necessary. Plus,
my
client has not been changing their backup tapes, so the last good backup
of
the System State is from a few weeks back. I do understand the tombstone
issues, but I don't believe the good backups are quite that old.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
