Terence,
Just to clarify, SBS in SiteB will no longer exist after the additional DC is installed. The main purpose is to have all clients at SiteB and SiteA in one domain. Correct me if I'm wrong but they should only need 5 additional CALs for the SBS server.
Thanks,

Hello Terry,
Thank you for your update. Thanks Cris for the good input.
I want to confirm your situation. Now, you have 2 sites (site A and site B)
and 2 SBSs (SBS A and SBS B) in every site. You have 5 clients (clients A
and clients B) in each site. You have site-to-site VPN between 2 sites. You
install an additional DC on site B. The additional DC joins SBS A domain.
If I am right, you are unable to logon the clients B to the additional DC.
Because the addition DC belongs to SBS A domain, the clients B belong to
SBS B domain. We are unable to logon one client to two domains.
To regards email accessing, I agree with Cris, you can use the RPC over
HTTP. The clients B could access Exchange on SBS B via RPC and access
Exchange on SBS A via RPC over HTTP at the same time.
Note: At this time, you need 10 CALs for clients on SBS A.
How to Deploy RPC over HTTP for the First Time in Small Business Server
2003 (Standard or Premium)

I hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!

Thanks Cris and Terence for your quick response.
The client will not need the Terminal server because they can use Cisco
for remote users. I need the new server to be a domain controller at site2the
because of the client requirement. They want to be able to logon even if
Tunnel is down and access their Time Matters software, which will beand
installed on this new server running SQL Express.
The Exchange part of this will be tricky. My thought was to use Exmergepull out the 5 users email to a pst file and import them back into theirnewaccounts or maybe just archive from each client. Would this be possible?remote
Thanks again,
Terry

Hello Terry,
Thank you for posting here. Let's also thank Cris for the input.
According to your description, I understand that you want to setup a
site-to-site VPN between 2 SBSs and setup a TS for 5 clients in the
6:00client. If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let
me know.
1. I agree with Cris, we do not need to make the TS as DC. You only need
to
join it to SBS domain.
2. To install TS in SBS domain for 5 remote clients, you need to buy 5
Terminal Service CALs and 5 SBS CALs.
a. For more information about CAL, please call our licensing office:
You can call 1-800-426-9400 (select option 4), Monday through Friday,http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sbs/2003/deploy/adstrmsr.mspxA.M. to 6:00 P.M. (PST) to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing
specialist. Worldwide customers can use the Guide to Worldwide Microsoft
Licensing Sites http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/index/worldwide.asp to
find contact information in their locations.
b. For how to deploy the TS in SBS domain, please refer to the following
page:
Deploying Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server to Host User Desktops in a
Windows Small Business Server 2003 Environment
corresponding
3. We unable to merge email for 2 Exchanges in different SBS domains.
I hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!

Hello all,
I have two sites running SBS 2003, the client was trying to setup a VPN
tunnel and connect the two sites for replication of Time Matters/Billing
Matters enterprise version 7. Each site has it's own separate domain with
email.
My thought is to dump SBS 2003 at site2.
Install Windows server 2003 R2 Standard with SQL Express 2005, running
Terminal services in application mode, and configure this server as
secondary Domain Controller for local authentication.
Site1 has 5 users.
Site2 has 5 users.
Two questions:
1.How many and what CALs would I need to purchase?
I'm thinking I will need to purchase 5 SBS user CALs. Will I need to
purchase any other CALs, users will be connecting from remote locations
(home).
2. How hard if even possible to merge email from Site2 into Site1 foremail accounts?
.
