Hello Voytas,

Thank you for your update. I'm sorry for the delay response due to the
weekend.

1. The RPC over HTTP will use the HTTPS port 443, but not 80. Therefore,
we
need to forward port TCP 443 from your router/firewall to your SBS.

2. For detail steps how to configure the Outlook client to use RPC over
HTTP, please refer to the following introduction:

Please access the RWW from the remote or local client, login domain
account, click "Configure Outlook via the Internet" link. You will find
the
steps how to configure the RPC over HTTP on the client.

3. By default, the SBS welcome page can be accessed from LAN clients. If
you do not want the external user to access your SBS welcome page, you
can
run the CEICW and uncheck the option "Business Web site (wwwroot)" at
Web
Services Configuration page.

I hope these will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Hello Terence

i am not Customer but Wojtek or Voytas if you want :)

thanks for answers for my questions an doubts but i have others.

So I make A record in my DNS for ma outside domain pointg my Exchange
server
and in firewall i open only 80 port or (443 if i want rpc oHTTPS)?

when i configure Outlook which will be use rpc over http i put DNS name
which i prepared in qestion above?

how shoul i configure 'Microsoft Exchang Proxy setting'?
in this card there is field 'Use this URL to connect to my proxy
server
for Exchange' - this is optional?

What if i want SBS welcome site to be seen by LAn users and do block
from
others - shoul do excluse in IIS ie. IP adresses?

i understand that name puted in field Microsoft 'Exchange server' can
be
other than domain of email addresses - my windows domain is
my_firm.local
and
domain for addresses is changed by policy in Exchange for
my_firm.com.pl.

Hello Customer,

Thank you for your update.

"Outlook via the Internet" is enough for RPC over HTTP, if you do not
want
to publish OWA or RWW etc.

For the Exchange settings:
1. We should input DNS for Exchange server name, this is used to set
email
address for users. You need to input the part behind the '@' of your
email
address.

2. We unable to input IP address instead of DNS name.

3. SBS welcome page will publish if you select "Business Web site
(wwwroot)" at Web Services Configuration page.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Terence Liu (MSFT)
