Hello Richard,
Thank you for posting here. Let's also thank Dave for the input.
According to your description, I understand that the new Vista client
connect SBS network thru wireless, the Vista unable to access Internet. If
I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Based on my research, I suggest we try the following steps to see if we can
resolve this issue:
1. This is a wireless device related issue. I suggest you contact your
wireless device vendor to check the settings on the WAP first.
2. Please ensure the wireless client get IP address from SBS DHCP.
3. Ensure the Vista could work fine when connect the SBS network thru cable.
If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the steps above, please
help me collect some information for further investigation:
1. Run command "ipconfig /all > c:\ipconfig_wireless_client.txt" on Vista
client, send the files c:\ipconfig_wireless_client.txt to me at
v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
2. Run command "ipconfig /all > c:\ipconfig_cable_client.txt" on cable
client, send the files c:\ipconfig_cable_client.txt to me at
v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
3. Gather MPS network report on SBS:
a. Download MPSrepot_network from
http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9
15706/MPSRPT_NETWORK.EXE
b. Run MPSRPT_NETWORK.exe.
c. The tool will automatically collect the information. This procedure will
take 10~15 minutes.
d. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder:
%SystemRoot%\MPSReports\Network\Reports\Cab\
e. Send the .cab file directly to me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
4. Can you access the OWA or RWW or companyweb from the Vista client? Can
you ping SBS from the Vista client?
5. How do you connect your Linksys WAP, router, SBS and clients? Please
draw down the network topology picture and send to me.
6. Did you join the Vista client to SBS domain thru connectcomputer?
I hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu (MSFT)

Greetings again Dave,
I followed Mr. Owen Williams configuration details and am still not
connecting. During the initial installation I followed the instructions
setup outlined in Microsoft TechNet document, â??Configure WirelessNetworking
on Windows Small Business Server 2003â?? explicitly.however,
Here are some unusual items:
When I connect thru the wireless, I can log on under the user name,
I cannot ping the router or the server. Also, I cannot connect to theIPv4
internet, yet my ipconfig is the same as when using Ethernet (except for
address).which
Could this be the problem, when setting up my Linksys WAP and router I set
them to WPA Personal. If it is absolutely necessary to run under Radius
of my personal certificates under my console root (SBS-Server, Wirelessexpected
Access, etc) would I use and exactly when I expand them what specific
information would I copy to my WAP setup?

Thank you,
Richard

The first thing that comes to mind is, do you have the access point
configured as a router instead of just an AP, and if so, is your Vista
clientgetting its IP info from the DHCP server running on the router? Your
IPPC needs to use the DHCP server on the SBS - you can compare an ipconfig

Here's a document by SBS MVP Owen Williams that tells the best way to
configure the wireless (I guess I should say in my opinion the best
