Glad your closer to the end of the tunnel!
Folder redirection is a good thing. However, I question the need for
offline files (especially in a single domain controller environment) unless
the workstation is a "traveling" laptop and actually needs the 'offline
files' feature. As a workaround, I think you should be able to turn off
"offline files" on each workstation to get rid of the "working offline"
warning
Log onto workstation as user with local administrator permissions (at a
minimum).
My Computer | Tools | Folder Options | Offline Files | (uncheck) Enable
Offline Files
log off (or reboot), log on as standard user.

Merv, you are the best! It was just the simple radio button of "Move
contents to New Location", but there was no single place that told me
that..more of a collection of Event logs, RSoP, GPO Modeling queries, and
gpresults. Thanks so much for your help. The only thing left is that
even
though everyone got their My Documents back, they still have a warning
bubble
telling them they are working offline b\c Server A is down, even though
nothing is pointing to Server A except some Offline Folder setting
somewhere.
Wow, Merv, thanks again so much!

I'm dying here. I have recently migrated one SBS 2003 server to newer
hardware, following the 43 page step by step procedure which blew up
around
page 4. I got everything seemingly working (have some loose ends to
tie
up),
but the issue that is killing me is that no one seems to have their My
Documents folder redirecting correctly.
The old server is Server A, the new one is Server B. Users have
roaming
profiles. All GPOs on the Server B are being applied, but everyone is
still
attempting to redirect their My Documents to Server A. I have
unplugged
Server A from the network. All GPOs are telling the clients to
redirect
to
Server B, when I run gpresult /v on clients, it says policy is being
recieved
from Server B. I have run gpupdate /force roughly 1 billion times, to
no
avail. I added a new user to the Domain, and he inherits the GPO and
redirection correctly, yet all the migrated users do not. What am I
missing
here? The permissions are fine, as I have created a shortcut for
everyone
that points to their My Documents on Server B for the time being for
them
to
use. If anyone can help me on this, I will bake you a cake. Full of
money.
Help!
