Re: Folder Redirection NOT Working! Help!

Larry,

I have done a lot of peer-to-peer networking and I've worked with UNIX client-server networks a little, but I'm a bit new to Windows/SBS client-server networks. Consequently, I did not know that there was a wizard to setup Folder Redirection. Subsequent to your response, I found it and ran it. I also found a typo (in the server name) in the manually configured settings I had previously created. When users log off and log back on again we'll see how successful the procedure was.

Some of the workstations were added using the wizards and the web site, others were added using the My Computer network properties thing. The mixed bunch is all Windows XP Professional. I've been told that Windows Vista has to be added to SBS 2K3 using the latter method. True?

I've got a couple of Vista laptops which need to be upgraded from Vista Home (Premium) and joined to the domain also.

Where do I configure Roaming Profiles?

Thanks,
Fred

Hi Fred:

Any reason why you did not use the wizard designed for this purpose?

It is in the backup section of Server Management.

Were the workstations added to the SBS domain using Add a User Wizard, and joined with /connectcomputer?

.
