user account for server (SBS 2003 Premium SP1)

This is probably a ridiculous question, but I'll ask it anyway ..... what is
the "best" way to create a plain User account to run the server on a daily
basis?

I had tried to create a User in Server Managment and give it logon rightrs
just to the server, but I wasn't able to login. I remember seeing some
details in the Event logs, but they escape me now), so was thinking that I
should use Control Panel >> Users, and create a local user there.

But then I stopped and thought I'd better ask first before trying something
I "think" will work.

As always, thanks in advance,
Mike
