In article <e0$X0hByIHA.6096@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, brianr@xxxxxxxxxxxx
says...
We bought 2 identical Server hardware but only one license of SBS OEM
The 2nd Server has Linux on it an used as a Backup for SBS files
I have now removed the Linux had disk to another basic PC
That's why I'm beginning to like Linux - just take the hard disk into the
new box
and boot... Everything just worked and auto reconfigured from Intel to AMD
box...
Since the Server is toast - I transfered the hard disk to the spare server
Question: I am allowed to do this??
Under OEM rules, you are permitted to change the motherboard on a failed
computer. Under the new rules, it's completely up top the computer
vendor as to your being able to change anything.
