Please allow me to confirm that my understandings are correct. As I
understand it, the issue is:
When you click the "view details" option in SBS console\Update
Service\Installation Error, you will get "message not found".
If I have misunderstood your concerns please feel free to let me know.
Suggestion :
==============
Most likely cause of your failure to report is incorrect targeting
information. If any of WUA DLLs were not properly registered, the WUA would
have never been able to detect the updates and report status, much less
download them and fail an installation attempt.
I would like to suggest that you run command: wuauclt /resetauthorization
/detectnow on problematic client to reregister WUA for WSUS 3.0. Also,
please reboot your problematic client and wait for about 10-15 minutes to
monitor whether the issue persists.
Hope it helps.
If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the above steps, please
help me collect some information for further investigation:
Information Need

1. Check event viewer for related information, if there are any, please
help save it to *.evt and send to me.
2. Please help to capture the exact symptom when the error occurs, save it
to *.jpg files and send to me.
3. Please help to gather windowsupdate.log under %windir% on problematic
client and send to me

| I have WSUS 3.0 installed on SBS 2003. It has been working fine since I
| updated to current version of WSUS. I have one computer which reports
