After you restarted the server did you restart outlook, it may have the old settings cached.

I have an sbs 2003 server with exchange server 2003.
I have created a user called test and mail are working fine. When the user send a mail from the exchange. on the mail you can see that it is from "test" user.
Nw the user want to see his full name on all mail he send not only test.
I have renamed the user test on AD and update it. I have even go on the pc of the person and click on check name still on mail the user send it says from test.
When i open exchange server. The mailbox is still test not with the first name and second name?
What I think you are after is the "Display name". Open up Active Directory Users and Computers, drill down to the "test" account, open up its properties and on the "General" tab put something else in for "Display name" and that should then be what appears in Outlook.
Hope that's what you were after.
