Backup WAP & XP

Hi,

I recently had a problem with my 802.11g WAP, secured with WPA-EAS as
described in Owen's instructions. A certificate expired, and no
wireless clients could connect to that AP.

However, I have defined in the GPO an 802.11b WAP which uses a simple
WEP shared key, no RADIUS at all. Windows Vista clients had no
problem, and were able to use the backup access point without issue.

However, XP would no try to connect to the WAP at all; it continued
trying the 11g WAP and failing over and over again.

Any idea on why XP wouldn't connect to the backup WAP? I couldn't
even force it to connect.

Thanks
Andy
