I was hoping that wasn't the case.
Nothing in the add new hardware...all the USB root and Generic are working
properly. The HDD works on my other SBS 2003 box so it is going to be a
reboot...hard to do in a production environment and it is just past
lunch...guess who is staying late.

Darn reboots!.

If that doesn't do it, I would say restart the server. That usually fixes

Howdy,

I have two Western Digital My Book 1TB drives that i use for external
backups.
I rotate them every Thursday to the bank vault up the street. This has
been
going on since January without a problem.

Originally I deleted the WD program that came with the device and used the
USB cable to connect to the server.
No problems. Works like a charm.

Today I get the drive back from the vault and SBS2003 premium doesn't
respond to it at all.
I took it to a workstation and it work fine.
on this server...no go.

I usually use the Safely Remove Hardware icon by the clock so I don't
think
it was removed without using that but it is a possibility since Iit has
happened before.

Any ideas?
