VPN to SBS2k3 from VBus

I have been trying to set up a VPN connection to our SBS2k3 server from Vista Business pc. At first I was getting error 741 and found KB929857 which refers to this error. I used method 2.

Now when I try to connect I either get error 800 or " 'server' is not set up to accept a connection to port 'pptp' from this computer"
No errors are logged in applics or system logs at either end.
VPN connections from my XPpro box work fine so the second error is false.

Can anyone help?
