You're correct, all appears to be working except that no computers show up
under the domin name in windows network and the client computers don't see
the server in their windows network. It smells of something wrong in DNS, but
I can't find what it might be. I think I will let it rest for a day and see
if it helas itself. Thanks for all of your help.

I'm surprised that the BPA wouldn't have alerted you to file/print sharing.
not enabled on the SBS internal NIC.
It sounds like you're ok now. Don't bother with the browsing from network
neighborhood, use \\shares.

Duh, file and printer sharing was not checked. Thanks. Its the simple
stuff
that can get you. That of course fixed the problem with the drives not
connecting to clients
The server still does not show up in Network places nor does any other
computer in the network. The domain shows up but their are no member
computers listed.
when running CEICW, no errors
\\servername shows up all of the share on the server
could not find any listings or tabs for bindings

can you go to \\<servername> from a client and see the shared resources
on
the server?
Don't rely on 'network browsing'.

I found 2 gost NICS from an old Intel card that was installed one for
troubleshooting and deleted them. LANNIC entries appear correct as per
KB
875422, but it is a litte vage in several areas.
Still have the problem, the severdoes not show up in its own network

Can you follow the instructions to sort the lannic registry entry? I
believe
the SBS BPA provides instructions or a link?
You may need to check for ghosted nics, and delete those.
1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd.exe, and then press
ENTER.
2. Type set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1, and then
press
ENTER.
3. Type Start DEVMGMT.MSC, and then press ENTER.
4. Click View, and then click Show Hidden Devices.

Is the SBS best practices analyser installed? - if not install and
run
it
and look for NIC advanced features that need to be disabled.
Please post the output of "ipconfig /all" run from a command prompt
on
the
server, and from one workstation.

Last night I updated the NIC driver on Dell server while
troubleshooting a
problem with Dell techsupport. Doing so erased all IP addresses
on
NIC
cards.
I Added the correct address on both NICS and reran CEICW.m Since
then
no
one
can connect to the server.
DHCP works , email works, everyone can access the internet thru
the
server.
If I look in network places (on the server), no computers show up
in
the
domain including the server.
If I look in network places (on a client computer), all client
computer
show
up, but the server is missing
On the server, if I search for a client computer by name it finds
it
ok.
On a client however a search for the server comes up not found
DNS and DHCP look ok!!
