Re: Desperate to email; Can you HELP?

I'm thinking one of those two port NICs and yes...disable IPv6

Does this NIC have two ports where you can plug in network cables? Do you have cables in both...what are they connected to at the other end of the cable?

The ipconfig looks like it's for a Vista computer with IPv6 installed? What
kind of server is this? SBS doesn't support IPv6.

Hi Rick,

Please post the results of an iconfig /all for the SBS server.

When you run CEICW (Configure Email and Internet Connection Wizard), does
it
produce any errors?

Greetings,

I have re-examined my email setup on this new installation over the
last
several days and frankly, cannot find the error. I am unable to send or
receive e-mails thru my hosted domain and would really appreciate any
insight. I'm desperate and cannot identify where else to examine. Thank
you
for your time.

I have:
2 NIC's, SBS 2003, Linksys wireless broadband router WRT54G3G, hosted
ATT
domain.

Settings:
Internet Wizard - Broadband, A local router device, DNS provided by
ATT,
Local IP of router 192.168.1.1, Static IP for ISP network
connection(external
NIC value), Default value for local IP, enabled Firewall, enable email,
use
DNS to route, use POP3, use Exchange (deliver directly), domain name,
POP3
(mail server = pop.att,yahoo.com).

ISP provider -" MX" points to my domain.com, "A" points to IP server
default.

DNS Forward Lookup Zones - Name Servers include company.com AND
sbs-server.company.local. , with IP equal to default server
192.168.16.2.

SMTP - IP equals default server. Delivery "Fully qualified domain name"
is
company.com.

POP3 -IP same.

Finally, I speculate these are my PROBLEM areas.

TCP/IP External NIC - Static IP = external NIC address AND NOT the
address
provided by my ISP provider as specified by Microsoft help article
306802.
IF I CHANGE THIS ADDRESS TO ATT'S I CANNOT ACCESS THE INTERNET!
Default
gateway 192.168.1.1 Preferred DNS 192.168.16.2

Router - Disabled DHCP, Firewall off, Default gateway = external IP.

Capable of telneting port 25, 110.

WHAT COULD BE WRONG?

Thank you,

Richard
