You can but that is an inefficient use of resources. Dyndns Backup is only $32.50 a year for my Domain and gives me 14 day guarantee. I was actually down for 10 days during a Hurricane and lost nothing.

Can I leave the POP3 Connector running? Obviously most of the time it won't find anything, but when it does, it can retrieve it..
I haven't run the CEICW in a while to remember if I can leave both of them checked.
Thanks,
Dave H.

My Higher Priority Mx is with Dyndns.org's Mailhop Backup service and they Automatically forward as soon as my server is back on line. If you are talking about your ISP Mail host I suspect you will have to set up a POP3 or other way of retrieving it.

If I understand all that I read here and elsewhere, I can add an MX record with a higher priority than the current one so that mail goes to my server, but then if my server or connection is down, it will go to the same place it's always gone, my hosting provider's servers, correct?
The big question though is how does my "catch-all" stuff get handled? Currently, I have tons of "@mydomain.com" addresses floating around that I give out when I order stuff online. They aren't attached to an AD account, and I don't want to attach them, but I still want that mail delivered to my mailbox. Is there a setting in Exchange that will allow that to happen, and won't just reject the mail because the address doesn't exist? I realize that I will get tons of spam because of this, but I do already. :)
I already have my domain, and I have a dyndns.org account that I can point the MX record to. Am I forgetting/needing anything else?
Oooops, that's 3 questions. :)
Thanks,
Dave Hampson
