Might be time to call in for paid support. As an independent consultant, it is sometimes the bullet we bite...and makes being a Microsoft Partner worth it.

Any suggestions from anyone at MS? Help, the customer is running out of patience..

"Bernie Hunt" <bhunt@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:OKH$0IsrIHA.3780@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI have an account with SBS2003 Premium, ISA installed, but no SQL Server. After their SP1 update, the company web page no longer appears. When you open a web browser, you get an error "Cannot connect to the configuration database" and reference to KB 823287.
I followed method 1 from that article. The service MSSQL$SHAREPOINT was not running so I started it. Problem still exists.
I followed method 2 and verified that IIS is not running in isolation mode.
I tried to follow method 3, and this is where the wheels fell off. Step 1 of the second half of Method 3 say to run the Enterprise Manger for SQL Server. This server doesn't have SQL Server installed, how do I do this?
Any suggestions on how to get their companyweb page back?
Thanks,
Bernie
